Location: Must be based in Washington, DC and expected to work (Full Time, Remote-First)
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in operations, project management, campaign or nonprofit fundraising, or a related field. Current undergraduate students are not eligible for this role.
Salary: $55,000-$75,000 based on experience

Position Overview
SEEC Institute is seeking an Operations Associate to build and manage the operational infrastructure that powers our external convenings (including, but not limited to, trips, conferences, and donor meetings), compliance processes, and internal systems. This role will serve as a utility player for the entire organization, including a mix of administrative, operations, and strategic responsibilities.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on creating order from complexity, building repeatable systems, and proactively solving problems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
The position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Core Responsibilities
Event Management & External Convenings
Help execute conferences, stakeholder convenings, and external events, in conjunction with our Director of External Affairs.
Assist with development and manage timelines, vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets (non-accounting) for all external convenings and projects.
Coordinate travel logistics with partners and venues, including congressional offices.
Build repeatable event playbooks to streamline future execution.
Internal Operations & Systems
Help manage operating budget.
Assist in the design and improvement of internal workflows and operational systems necessary to execute the core mission of SEEC Institute.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and internal documentation.
Assist with management of operational tools and IT systems (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products, CRM, event platforms, project management software).
Prepare, submit, and track required ethics documentation for events and engagements, in conjunction with policy and external relations staff.
Qualifications
Required
2-5 years of experience in administrative role, operations, project management, campaign or nonprofit fundraising, or a related field.
Completed an undergraduate degree; current undergraduate students are not eligible for this role.
Experience with event management.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written communication skills, particularly for formal documentation.
Demonstrated ability to build or improve systems and processes.
Ability to time manage.
