SEEC INSTITUTE Solutions summit
On October 23, leaders from Congress, subnational government, business, academia, and civil society came together at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, D.C. for a full day devoted to climate and clean energy solutions.
The Summit underscored how Members of Congress are pushing U.S. climate progress forward through creative thinking, strong partnerships, and engagement from the local to global level. Representatives Kathy Castor, Sean Casten, Paul Tonko, Laura Friedman, Mike Levin, Andrea Salinas, Don Beyer, George Whitesides, and James Walkinshaw exemplified that leadership throughout the day’s discussions.
Our excellent lineup of speakers (listed in the agenda below) including former Governor and SEEC founder Jay Inslee, Brazilian Ambassador to the U.S. Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, and Governor J.B. Pritzker (by video) - brought expertise spanning policy, finance, technology, food systems, community leadership, and beyond. The Summit also featured a series of productive roundtable discussions between Members of Congress and attendees. These closed-door sessions focused on our Thriving Economy Project, identifying opportunities to accelerate clean energy deployment, expand equitable access to climate finance, strengthen U.S. engagement ahead of COP30 in Belém, Brazil, and more.
SEEC Institute extends our gratitude to all speakers, partners, and attendees who made the 2025 Summit a success. Together, we are demonstrating that solutions are already within reach - and that with collaboration and resilience, we can keep moving forward.
